Executive Director & Co-Founder

A marine biologist and lifelong Norfolk resident. Founded Tidewater Alliance in 2012 after years of watching the Elizabeth River decline.

Marcus Tran

Director of Restoration

Leads the oyster reef program and living-shoreline builds. Former hatchery manager with two decades on the bay.

Danielle Obi

Director of Development

Drives fundraising and corporate partnerships. Previously led grants for a regional watershed coalition.

Board Chair

Third-generation waterman and oyster farmer. Chairs the volunteer board of nine community members.

Priya Joshi

Volunteer & Cleanup Coordinator

Organizes the shoreline cleanup calendar and trains crew leaders so no marsh is left behind on event day.

Water Quality Scientist

Runs the Water Watch monitoring network and turns volunteer samples into the region's open water-quality dataset.

Founded in 2012 in Norfolk, Virginia. Tidewater Alliance is governed by a volunteer board of directors and audited annually by an independent CPA firm.
